Good Monday Morning to you, it's time to get sketchy with H2H Challenges. This weeks challenge is a sketch and it's a good one as you will be able to see from the design teams work. You could make an eloborate card or a super simple card which is what I did. I used the brand new Wings Creative basics paper and the Wings workshop on the go stamp set. You have to check out the H2H blog to see the sketch, the beautiful projects from the design team and the new sponsor information.

February's class project
Here is what we will be doing for the February class at the library on the 8th. This class will consist of an A2 size box and three cards with envelopes. I decided to go with a Valentine's/love theme however if you are not "feeling the love"you can certainly just use the card layout and stamp a different sentiment later! This project is using brand new "Sweetheart" paper that will be officially released from CTMH on February 1st. If you have never had the chance to peruse CTMH I urge you to check it out immediately, go to my website and see all the great stuff! Anyone who places an order with me through my website who has never ordered before will get a free stamp set but only until February 16th. Anyways I digress I also used the Priceless Love stamp set. Have a great night!

Brotherly love
So my little 8 month old was sleeping in his swing yesterday, and he woke up and my 4 year old says "mommy, Eli's lip is bleeding again". So I went about my buisness for a minute not thinking to much of it because he has had a cracked lip for a few days. Well the next thing I know my husband calls me into the livingroom to see the baby, did I ever laugh he had a hot pink band-aid on his lip. His 4 yr old brother though hey he's bleeding so he needs a band-aid. We had a chuckle over it and of coarse I had to take a picture! Have a happy Saturday!

ODB Designs-Wings challenge
Well did you notice I did not post any bedroom pictures? I have decided to wait until the whole room is finished. It is all painted but we have decided to change the light fixtures so be on the lookout for the finished room this weekend! Now on to my card, I am not really happy with how this card turned out but such is life, right? I made this card for this weels Our Daily Breads Designs challenge to make something with wings. I think this fits the bill, and this is my only stamp from ODB and it is beautiful I can't wait to get more. I used paper scraps from October Afternoon which I will never grow tired of and the image was colored with Copics. That lovely lace on the bottom is from Really Reasonable Ribbon. Have a great day!

Sending well wishes
For todays card I am using some lovely paper from Sassafrass, but the colors look totally distorted on my screen so I am not really sure what that is all about. Anyways I used a lovely Pure Innocence stamp from MFT for the main image, don't you love this line of stamps? I colored her in with Copics and added some new ruffled ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon and some bakers twine, I also added a couple of cardstock buttons cut out with the button die-namics die from MFT. I should be back tommorrow with some pictures of my boys room that we have been working on for the last few nights, until then!

Mojo/ Wings card
For this card today I used this weeks Mojo Monday sketch and CTMH'S new Wings paper pack. I used Verve's Just For You stamp set for the circle and the sentiment. I dabbed the dots with black diamond Stickles and I added some rolled flowers that I made using the MFT rolled flower Die-Namic die topped off with some black Opaques(CTMH). The ruffled ribbon is also new from CTMH and the row of black bling is recollections from Michaels.
Let's have a Heart 2 Heart
Monday again already? Where does the week go? Well anyways this week at Heart 2 Heart Challenges it is all about organizing and since it's a new year there is no better time to get your scrappin/stamping area organized. I wanted to show you all just one small thing I do for organazing my Nestabilities. I have shared this before but thought I would share it again. I bought a roll of magnet sheets from Michaels which I covered with some fabulous Veranda paper then I attached it to my wall and now I have the perfect place to store all my die cuts. I have alot of new dies that I need to put up so all I have to do is grab another sheet of magnet and put it up! I don't know about you but for me if something is out of sight it is out of mind, so to remedy that I have them all out and right in front of me on the wall that way not only can I see them and remember to use them but they are also easily accessible. This is only one small way to organize your crafting space be sure to check out the Heart 2 Heart blog to see what other great organizing tips you can gleen to make 2011 your most organized year yet!

Verve Diva Dare Baby Love card
Whew, we are working on re-doing my boys bedroom and their is lot's of work involved so I did not think I would have any time to play today. However daddy put the kiddos to bed early and me and my oldest daughter created for a little while. I made this card with Verve's new Diva Dare challenge in mind, you can find out the details here. I wanted to make a vintage valentine using one of my all time favorite paper packs from K&Company that is about 4 years old. I also wanted to use one of my new Wilton doilies which come in bright white but I just used a makeup sponge and applied some Tim Holt's Vintage Photo ink and then stamped the word Love from CTMH's Soul Mates Word Puzzle stamp(retired). Then I cut out a heart shape inked the edges and stamped the you and me also from the Soul Mates set. I used some lovely seam binding, a stick pin and some pearls to finish it off. Now I am off to read my Bible and then hit the hay! Have a great night!

I could not be more thrilled and I know you will love what is happening at H2H challenges this new year. The new design team members are all wildly talented and will have some amazing work to inspire you and Mary our awsome founder of H2H has redesigned the blog-it is real purty and has added a scrapbooking layout sketch challenge as well. Woohoo this might be the kick in the pants I need to get some more layouts done. There are also some changes to the Friday Five and prizes you can check out all the specifics at H2H. Our two prize sponsors for the month are Susan Winters and she can be found at http://suswinter.blogspot.com and Haley Dyer who can be found at http://inkyscrapper.blogspot.com go and check out there great work. Next the fabulous Mrs.Vicki Wizniuk is our January guest design team member I am sure alot of you are already familiar with miss Vicki's work but if you are not you are in for a treat, she will be joining us today for our challenge and you can also check out her blog http://wizardshangout.blogspot.com/. Okay so with all that out of the way todays challenge is a color challenge, we are to use Pear,Sky, Colonial white, and a touch of Sorbet if you wish. For my card I used multiple B&T papers from both Hooligans and Magnifique and cardstock in all the colors. I accordian folded my small strip of Sorbet paper and attached the flower I made at the end. I added a pear button and some hemp. The stamped image is from this month's SOTM "Find Your Style" which I stamped in Sky and the sentiment I stamped in Sorbet, some opaques finished it off. Happy Birthday-Mojo Monday
What is this? Another post, my 3rd today so make sure you scroll down for the rest of my posts. This card I whipped up this morning for my father in laws b-day. I followed this weeks MojoMonday sketch and I used some of my hoarded "Felicity" paper from CTMH along with the Say It In Style ss for the sentiment and the "Hunting" ss. I added some twill, hemp and a button and whew I was done. I hope he likes it! This week over at Mojo Monday they are playing for a prize and that prize is from VERVE and who does not love VERVE so get over there and play along!
Card Patterns Sketch card
Okay here is a card I made for this weeks card patterns sketch and I have been wanting to play with this color combo of Gypsy, Black, and Grey Wool so I combined the two. I used the lovely new butterfly stamp from this month's SOTM "Find Your Style"I first stamped in Grey and then rolled the edges in Gypsy and added some baby black opaques to the center of the butterfly. I used the decorative doily die from MFT and my Cricut to cut out the circle, then I stamped the circle of flowers from a CTMH ss that I can not remember the name of and added some black diamond stickles. The pleated ribbon is brand spankin new from CTMH and it is lovely!
Trial run-baby invite
Let me just first say I am beyond thrilled to be planning a baby shower for one of my closest friends, who has been trying to concieve for the last 8 years. Now the wait is over and my friend and her husbands prayers have been answered and they have been doubly blessed and are expecting twins. Now the physco party planner in me has come out and I am in full swing to plan this baby shower. The theme of the babies nursery is deer and it is perfect, so after a long search I found the perfect deer stamp from October afternoon, I also used the Sweet baby and True happiness ss from CTMH and an awesome stamp set from H&M Stamps which sadly is no more. I stamped on Colonial White using only Chocolate and Pear inks. Anywhoo this is my 1st mock up what do you think? It has to be kinda simple cause I have to make a few.

A wall hanging
I am back, I was having some technical difficulties and not online for a little while, but they are resolved now so I can share. The 1st project is a wall hanging I made for my niece who just turned 9, I used a piece of heavy cardboard for the base and covered using Topstich paper from CTMH, I also used a sticker from the matching Stickease and added some flowers, pearls, sparkles and dimensional elements. Then all I did was add some luscious pink satin ribbon at the top, and it only took about 20 minutes to make. Next up is a super simple invitation I made for my daughters 8th birthday party, it will be here 1st b-day party with friends and my 1st super fancy decorated party, I can not wait. Anyways we are doing a mermaid themed party but it is goining to be very soft and pretty light pink, soft white, and sand . So the invites are really simple cardstock distressed with baby pink ink, I used Simple invites and Simple stiches stamp sets both retired from CTMH and the adorable mermaid and fish stamp is Sugar Plums Emma. The ribbon came from wal-mart, it was almost impossible to get a good picture because the ink is so light and I really need to get a light box built.

Viva La Verve-Find Your Style
I loved this sketch from Viva La Verve so that is what I used for the inspiration for this card and I used the new CTMH SOTM "Find Your Style" which I stamped once then again and then cut out and used foam tape to pop it out for some added dimension! Did I mention yet that I am in love with this stamp set it is so versatile, if you want one of your very own contact me and I can let you know how to get it for free. The patterned paper I used is Material Girl From Cosmo Cricut and I stiched around the edges with denim thread that I used just last week to hem some jeans- see how versatile I am? I can go from seamstress to cardmaker in mere minutes lol! I also used Tim Holt's Vintage Photo ink for lots of distressing and some opaques from CTMH, and the flower is one I made from cardstock spritzed with water. Again sorry about my picture I have yet to figure out my photo editing.
