True Love-A Layout

Whew another layout I am not sure what has gotten into me lately, it might just be the stacks and stacks of pictures I have. This picture is of my sweetie and me at our camp this summer, my friend Aubrey took this picture. I am not fond of my picture being taken nor is my husband but I do want to remember what we looked like and I would like for my kids to have some pictures of their parents. I used paper from October Afternoon, lots of rub-ons from K& Company, and I finally tried my hand at a paper medallion that I added a punched circle, button and bow too. I also added some pearl flourishes from ZVA Creations, I am not sure if I really like how this turned out or not, I always second guess myself! Oh well, now that the holidays are now almost officially over I can get back to craftin-yay!

Another gift

This is what I got accomplished today apart from making sugar cookies with my kiddos, it's a recipe box from CTMH. I just love these boxes they have a strong magnetic closure in the front and can be used for multiple things! I used C TMH Cherry-O paper and stickease for this box, I also inked some Irresistables(letters) in Tulip, some opaques which I colored Tulip with a Copic marker, a Cherry-O Opaque sticker and a pearl flourish from ZVA Creations. The flower I made myself and I did lots of distressing with Desert Sand ink! All finished in about an hour!

A few quick gifts

Well I managed to get a few things accomplished today, one of them being chocolate chip cookie dough truffles- they are fabulous, some for us and some to give away. I also made some semi-crafty stuff, I altered a box I picked up at Michaels using paper from My Mind's Eye, I also used the All Decked Out stamp set from CTMH and some brads also from CTMH for earmuffs. The snowflake(ctmh) I cover in brown glitter and I added a couple opaques from ctmh as well. I cut the letters out of my Cricut for the top. This box will house some homemade oreos for my father-in-law. The other container is a recycled gelato container(thanks Holly) also covered with the same paper, and snowlake except I used silver glitter on this one. The sentiment is from CTMH stamped in Twighlight on Colonial White paper but highly distressed with Vintage photo distressing ink. I also added a simple little flower I hand rolled and the flourishes are from Recollections. I am going to fill this jar with homemade peppermint foot scrub.

Fun foodie gifts

Well let me tell you it was not exactly easy trying to photograph these things but I did my best! I saw the idea for these adorable snowmen on The Idea Room which I love. Now because I wanted to make these for my neices and nephews I went against all my better judgement and bought OREOS-EEEEW I know insert gasp here, now under normal circumstances I would never consider buying these things whose name I don't even like to mention but come on, they are so cute I just could not resist. Anyways you take a double stuffed you know what and stick a sucker stick in it and cover with white melting chocolate, then add some mini choco chips for the eyes and mouth and then add a nose then I just wrapped mine and stuck them in some floral foam in the bottom of a super cute bucket from the dollar section at Target. Then I had some extras which I covered in Green and sprinkled with colored sugar! I wish I had more time to "scrap" up my gifts a little more but alas my time was cut short and they need to be delivered tommorrow! So I hope they enjoy there little chocolate covered OREOS, and I hope their parents enjoy the sugar rush!

Card Patterns and Wednesdays MFT Stamp Club

Here is my card for 2 different challenges, the 1st being a sketch from Card Patterns and the 2nd is to use a Pure Innocence girl from MFT to make a last minute Christmas card for their Wednesday stamp club. I used paper that I just adore from Making Memories, Wishing you a little Christmas stamp from MFT, the "Cheer" sentiment is from CTMH'S December Word Puzzle(retired), seam binding from 5 Dollar French Market on Etsy, some MS punched snowflakes, and black opaques from CTMH. I colored the image using Copics and added Liquid Apllique on her hat, and boots, Ruby Slippers Stickles on the tree and Liquid Glass on the star. I also added a rolled flower using MFT's rolled flower die-namic die, the corners are all rounded and I did lot's of distressing with Tim Holtz's Vintage Photo distressing ink. Oh and there is some really cool self adhesive mesh behind the main image that I have had in my stash for a while.

I'm a winner!

Seriously? Don't ya love the title of my post? Anyways last week I won any stamp set of my choice from Our Daily Bread Designs during there new release blog hop. Woweee was I excited they have the most beautiful Christian stamps. I chose Sing To The Lord which has several scripture verses and a lovely bird/branch image. I decided to go with a very simple layout for this card, I embossed one white daisy panel with my Swiss Dots cuttlebug embossing folder, and I used a scalloped oval and reg oval nestability die, I stamped my image and colored rather poorly I might add, my little birdie with Copics. I really need to google some bird images to try to get my coloring a little better. I added Prisma glitter on the flowers and on the edge of my scripture banner. I made a big ole bow using pink satin ribbon from Offray and added the ever so pretty blingy button(wal-mart), then I added some crystal flourishes from Recollections and some glitz Glue(CTMH) around my scallops. I entered this card into a new to me challenge blog called CES Challenge blog this week the challenge is anything but a Christmas card.

Joy To The World

Well today is officially my last day as a design team member for Heart 2 Heart Challenges mt term is up and it is tiime for a new team. I have had a fabulous time and have loved pouring over everybodys amazing entrys each week. Just head on over to the H2H blog and see what the rest of the team has come up with, then upload your project using mostly CTMH produts. For my card I used Mistletoe paper and the Christmas Story ss, that fabulous ribbon is from the Cocoa collection and I topped it of with a button and some hemp. I used the edge distressor to really "rough" up the edges of my cardstock and paper and I distressed the edges of my image with a combo of Desert Sand and Cocoa inks. Then I folded down one corner and added a brad. The main image is also mounted on foam tape for some added dimension. I hope you get a chance to join the challenge.

SWEET- A layout

Wowee it has been some time since I have done a layout, I actually almost forgot how-hehe. I was just in the mood for one today, so I used this beautiful picture of my daughter that my friend Aubrey took 2 summers ago. I used some luscious October Afternoon patterned paper, and the scalloped piece is Bazzil, a little cute deer stamp that I stole from my daughters American Girl SS I stamped onto a punched out circle and distressed the edges. I also stiched the wide twill ribbon from SU to make my ruffle, the button is from Basic Grey, hemp is CTMH and the flowers are Prima and I think the stick pins are as well. The Chipboard is from CTMH and I inked it in Tim Holt's Vintage Photo ink and then did the edges in CTMH Cocoa. I also added a few staples and pearls.

Old Fashioned Christmas Mojo

Whew it feels like forever since I have posted something, but I was so busy planning our homeschool craft groups Christmas craft and cookie exchange that I just did not have alot of spare time this week. I would like to post pictures from that but am short on time as usual right now. So I will just share my card with you for now, I used this weeks MOJO Monday sketch for my card and some old paper from My Minds Eye and a stamp from Wal-mart of all places. I also used a cute little frame from Michaels and I put a piece of acetate behind it and then my stamped image. I topped it off with some lovely new seem binding and some bells a snowflake and pearl, a few more pearls on the bottom and I was done. One of these days I will feel like I don't have to post and run but alas, today is not that day!

A gift H2H Challenge

Well here we are at Monday again, looking at the next H2H challenge and boy is it a good one. The challenge this week is to make a gift- no cards. There is also a prize sponsor for this week, the super talented Debbie Carriere, Debbie has a fantastic prize to give away to one lucky player this week. If you have never been to Miss Debbie's blog I highly recommend going there *** warning*** any one who goes there may be there for hours, neglecting family, and household, as well as there may be excess drooling over the beautiful projects so go, but remember you have been warned. Okay so I am on to my gift, I used a recycled plastic container that previously held candy corn, and I fancied it up with paper from the "JINGLE" level 2 kit, I also used an ornament sticker from the level 2 Stickease and is raised up with foam tape and applied some glits glue to the middle. The branches were punched using a MS branch punch and I added some red sparkles. I also used a MS border punch for the bottom and added bitty sparkles for some more shine. I tied a piece of Juniper ribbon around the container an added a punched snowflake that I covered with Prisma Glitter. Then the best part of all, I filled it with peppermint bark cookies-oh what a yummy gift for someone. So head on over to the H2H blog check out the beautiful creations by my fellow design team members and then link up your gift project using mostly CTMH products for a chance to win a spot in the Friday Five or the great gift from our sponsor Debbie.

Merry and BRIGHT

Bright being the operative word here. Not my usual taste, but I really like these fun colors together. The paper is old K & Company and the stamp is Heartfelt Christmas from CTMH, it's not showing good in the picture but the swirls on all the images are covered with Prisma glitter and looks so sparkly irl! Have a great Sunday, I'll be back tommorrow with another Heart 2 Heart challenge!
