I found a new sketch blog and decided to play along this week the blog is called cardpatterns. I loved this weeks sketch so I decided to make 2 cards during craft time today, after all our hard work yesterday; canning 30 quarts of applesauce and 15 quarts of spaghetti sauce today is truly a day of rest. The blue card is using CTMH'S new Magnifique paper and the luscious new color Lagoon. the sentiment is a Plain Jane scripture stamp from Verve(I love Verve) and those amazingly cool flowers were made from plain Colonial White cardstock. I was inspired to make these by my fabby fellow Heart 2 Heart design team member Andrea Ewen and found the tutorial here. So simple to make and so easy to customize, I have lots of ideas for these bad boys!
Okay this Christmas card is so odd for me, at my house we don't do Santa, my kids don't believe and we have never pretended he exists so why you ask did I make a santa card? Well that is a good question, but for some strange reason I bought the "Father Christmas" ss from CTMH because there were some other images on there that I loved and somehow I ended up picking out this image for this challenge, and I don't know I guess I just love the vintagy/nostalgic feel of it and I went with it. I also used Mistletoe paper, Dimensional Elements snowflakes, Glitter brads, and pearls!

Ooh, love these cards! Those flowers look yummy & great job on the Santa. I'll be checking that tutorial out. Your link at card patterns isn't to your blog - hopefully you can fix it :) I recognized your name & knew where to find you though :)
You have been busy! Love how you adapted the sketch for each card-beautiful work! Thanks for joining us at Card Patterns,

Wow, both of these are stunning and so elegant. Thanks for playing with us this week at Card Patterns.
Both are fabulous! Love the soft blue colors and the Santa on the second.
