Some goodies I made using NEW Mistletoe paper that will be released tommorrow, and some fab new Mistletoe embellishments and a dimensional element ornament. The stamp sets I used were Barouque Alphabet on the card and Everlasting Life on the ornament and I embossed the ornament with Cocoa embossing powder! The card sketch is from last weeks Mojo Monday!

Fancy Folds-H2H Challenge
For this week the challenge at Heart 2 Heart Challenges was to use a fancy fold! I decided that I would do something a little different, so I used part of the new "Triple Play" kit. I love this kit it is loaded with goodies, click here to find out how to get this kit for as little as $5.00. Included in this kit is enough paper to make 3 mini albums, however I decided to make 1 album and a bunch of other goodies including the card set I posted yesterday! So I just took one of the Sunset(fab new color) pages, made a couple of score lines next to the pre-existing score lines and folded hence the fancy fold! I just turned it into an adorable little post it note holder that you could stick in your purse or set by your computer to jot down any inspiration for your next project ie:colors, patterns, or a sketch! All the flowers and bracket stamps and the die-cuts they were stamped on come in this kit! I also used a felt bracket, hemp, a metal hang tag, brad and button from the new Sunset Mini Medley collection(available Sept 1st) the sentiment also from the Triple play kit I stamped in Brown Staz-On ink. I also used the luscious new Mocha Opaques on the front cover available Sept 1st as well! The scallopped edge was made using a MS punch and I needed it to cover up 3 little holes that would have been used to thread ribbon if I had used it as an album! Now let me see what cool creation you can come up with, just go to Heart 2 Heart Challenges and link up what you have made using mostly CTMH products!

So get your pen and paper ready and start making out your wishlist today! If you came here by way of Lori Scots blog you are on the right path, but if you are just stopping in here at my blog you will want to go Erin Herrings blog to start at the begginning or if you get lost along the way you can find a full list of participants there as well. Now on to the fun stuff, I made my 1st ever banner, they seem to be all the rage right now and I wanted to hop on that bandwagon! I used my George and Basic Shapes Cricut cart to cut out the triangles, and the Accent Essentials cart to cut out the scallops on the top of the banner! The lovely paper I used is called "Misletoe" item #7130B, I also used Dimensional Elements Monograms to spell out JOY. I embellished with the new Misletoe Level 2 Assortment item #Z1330(Poinsettas &Snowflake brads) White croched flowers are from the White Daisy Mini-Medley collection- item #Z1136 available only while supplies last and one of my very favorite new embellishments Mocha Opaques(pearls) item#Z1333. The bird(Felicity ss:no longer available) was stamped in cranberry ink on Desert Sand cardstock and the branches were punched out of Garden Green cardstock with a MS punch. I also used the Accent Essentials Cricut Cart to cut out 2 of the snowflakes and embellished them with red sparkles- item #Z1326 and I used an MS punch for the sm. snowflake . I stiched around all the triangles with my sewing machine and punched holes in each corner and tied with natural hemp- item#z280. The felt tree is from Heartfelt Wonder die cuts item # Z1210. I hope you enjoy your peek at all the new goodies remember they will all be available to order September 1st, now hop on over to Cindy Leeks blog and see what fabulousness she has in store for you!

Painting with bleach
Some of you have maybe heard of the infamous Tresa Black, she is a Close To My Heart consultant and she is extremely talented, she also does all sorts of tutorial videos. That is where I learned the art of painting/stamping with bleach. It is a super cool technique so I taught it at my Technique Tuesday class last night. We made an uber easy card with Grace paper and the August Stamp Of The Month- Something Splendid, but the spotlight was the bleaching technique! I just love the effect that it has. If you want to learn how to do this go to Tresa's Blog she has more than one video tutorial on different bleaching techniques. Anyways here is the card we made at class last night. I promise I have lot's of other goodies to share with you but just not yet! I am working everyday to make stuff for my upcoming open house on Saturday to celebrate the release of the brand new Idea Book. So if you live locally stop by my house between 10 and 2 on Saturday to see some great new stuff or hold on until September 1st when I can share on here!

H2H Sew much fun!
Hello and happy Monday, here is my card for this weeks Heart 2 Heart Challenge which is to use stiches on your project real or faux! For my card I used the lovely Cherry-O level 2 paper pack and Stickease, I also used my Singer for the scalloped stiches on the edge of my card and I made little faux stiches with a white gel pen on the Tulip cardstock around the coffee mugs. I put some fun liquid applique on top of the mugs, and on 2 of the mugs I sprinkled Cocoa embossing powder and drew in the little "steam" marks. On the middle mug I added a "cherry" or a tulip pearl that I snaged from a flower from the Cherry-O Opaques. I also used a hang tag from the Colonial White Mini Medley collection and I put liquid glass on the cherry button stickease. This was a super fast card to make using the matching stickease and just adding a few fun details! Make sure to play along with us this week at Heart 2 Heart we love to see what you all can create using your Close To My Heart products, but remember you don't have to use 100% CTMH to play just be sure to mention what other goodies you are using!

Verve sketch 4 on day 3
okay so I actually did tommorrows sketch today for the Anni-Verve-sary sketch, but no worries this sketch went much better with my stamp. The image is a sneek peek of a stamp set to be released from CTMH Sept 1st as is the paper! The sentiment is from Verve is in not an amazing font? I think I will try coloring this image again only with Prisma colored pencils instead of Copics, I am not really happy with how it turned out. I really love the burlap though it's so rustic, and I am so excited for Fall to get here are you?

It's a Verve day!
Today is my husband and my anniversary, we have been married 13 years! He is truly my soul mate and hand picked by God just for me and I am so thankful for him! So anyways this is a quick post so not a lot of details, both of these cards are for 2 different Verve challenges, one for Viva La Verve and one for Verves 3rd Anni-Verve-sary! Both great challenges and you can find out more info by going to the Verve forum at Splitcoast stampers! The stamp sets used on the first card are Enjoy Every Moment from CTMH and a plain Jane scripture stamp from Verve! On the second card I used patterned paper from October Afternoon and the stamp set was Feel the Sun.
Getting ready for school
Sorry, these pictures are not the greatest! This bookshelf I got at Wal-mart and the fabulous baskets with the little chalkboards are from Lowes. Super cute and under $100.00 for the works! I wanted something to keep the kids school stuff handy. The little spinny thing is a lazy susan I bought from Target that I spray painted and sanded, the pots were terra cotta and on clearance at Target, I just spray painted them burgundy, then I glued them to the spinner and put some berries around! Voila a turntable cubby thingy to hold school supplies! I love to be organized!
Back 2 School Heart 2 Heart Challenge
Well not really back to school for us yet, school does not start until Sept 7th for us but it will be here soon! Todays challenge ar http://www.heart2heartchallenges.com/ is to create something for back to school, when I saw this title I honestly was stumped at first! See this year will be my first year of homeschooling(super, super excited by the way) and so I was not quite sure where to go with this, then it dawned on me it's still back to school just homeschool, but what I needed was an album! So I got out my Cricut and "plantin schoolbook" cartridge and cut out a bunch of apples out of cardstock and then dusted off my Bind-It-All and bound the apples together! I did not do the inside pages yet as I wanted to wait until I take the pictures. I embellished the front cover with cardstock and I used the "A,B, C" Monogram Dimensional elements which I inked with Sunflower, Clover Meadow, and Dutch Blue and then stamped the polka dots from the Spot On Backgrounds stamp set on them in the same color, I did the same thing on the foam die cut numbers(123). The patterned paper I used was from the Animal Cookies Level 2 paper pack. The lines and the font I used were from the Classmate Alphabet stamp set(Love it). The little boy ang girl I stamped and then cut out and adhered with 3-d foam tape, they were from the Family Ties-children stamp set. The buttons are from the summer collection and tied with black hempI used multiple ribbon on the bindings and thats it until I get some pictures! Are you getting ready for back to school at your house? Join in our challenge and see what you can create! Happy stamping

VLVAug2010-week 2
Another card with no patterned paper? Do I have a fever? I don't think so! Since I was behind I made two cards today and this is my second for the Viva La Verve sketch challenge week 2. Again the sketch and inspiration room I used for my inspiration can be found at http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ under Verve member company forums! Alas another simple card and I used my Cuttle bug again, and I used Verve's Feel the Sun stamp for the image and sentiment which was colored with copics! I also used 3 jelly gems in the corner.
VLVAug2010 Skech week 1 & a Mojo Victory
This week I decided I wanted to play in Verve's Viva La Verve sketch challenge, it is 4 weeks of sketches using a room in a house as the inspiration! All the details can be found at Verves company forum at http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/. On Wednesday of this week I found out that I was one of the winners at the Mojo Monday blog for last weeks challenge, talk about knock me over with a feather! The talent of the people that enter is beyond astounding, so I was thrilled to see my card as a winner, and I was super excited to see right next to me none other than Andrea Ewen a fellow CTMH consultant and Heart 2 Heart Challenges design team member. Yay for Andrea and congrats her work is beautiful and if you have not seen it you should go to http://www.ewenstyle.com/ and leave her some love! Anywho I won a Verve stamp set of my choice and I could not have been happier, I have been wanting some Verve stamps for a very long time and I finally got some! Let me tell you that Julee that owns Verve is super sweet and shipping is amazing I ordered on Wednesday and I already have my stamps, so you will be seeing a bit of Verve for a while, I LOOOVE VERVE! So anyway here is my card for challenge week 1! Sorry I am not for sure what happened with my picture, but how odd that I did'nt use any, none, zero, zilch any patterned paper on this card! Strickly CTMH cardstock, white Grossgrain, and the stamps set's are Verve's Plain Jane for the beautiful Scripture sentiment and the leaves are from Verves Feel The Sun set! I also used my divine swirls embossing folder!

Tea Party
Okay, honestly is she not the cutest little girlie? I love this tea party Pure Innocence stamp set from MFT, and the open scalloped border die and the sentiment from Flopsey with flowers. If you can't tell I am on a major MFT kick right now. Oh and I am super excited about the floor, I actually just drew some lines for the floor and baseboard and colored, and I also made the "wallpaper" with a stamp from CTMH called Welcome home! I did some paper piecing as well. The paper is from Basic Grey's Olivia collection and the ribbon is Martha Stewart! Well enough jabber I gots to go make dinner!

I followed the Mojo Monday sketch for today and I used Oliva paper from Basic Grey and the stamp set is Piece Of Cake from CTMH, there is liquid applique on the cupcakes and liquid glass on the flames!
