Whew, we are working on re-doing my boys bedroom and their is lot's of work involved so I did not think I would have any time to play today. However daddy put the kiddos to bed early and me and my oldest daughter created for a little while. I made this card with Verve's new Diva Dare challenge in mind, you can find out the details here. I wanted to make a vintage valentine using one of my all time favorite paper packs from K&Company that is about 4 years old. I also wanted to use one of my new Wilton doilies which come in bright white but I just used a makeup sponge and applied some Tim Holt's Vintage Photo ink and then stamped the word Love from CTMH's Soul Mates Word Puzzle stamp(retired). Then I cut out a heart shape inked the edges and stamped the you and me also from the Soul Mates set. I used some lovely seam binding, a stick pin and some pearls to finish it off. Now I am off to read my Bible and then hit the hay! Have a great night!

What a stunning card.xxx
Wow, Jessica, vintage chic-ness at its finest! Great idea to "rough up" the doily, they are pretty bright! A wonderfully executed and accented card, I'm glad that you were able to steal a few moments away to play along with us! And what could be better than card making but to card make with your daughter and get some good bonding time in! Yay you!
