A New Look

So what do you think about my new blog header? I am in love, after looking at so many other adorable blogs lately I was totally inspired to revamp mine. However there was one big problem- I have no computer skills at all-zip-zero-zilch, enter Heather from Individual Blog Banners- The link is on my side bar, this girl is seriously talented and seriously quick she designed this for me and installed it on my blog in less than 24 hours-wowsers! She is also an amazing stamper and stamp designer/illustrator. If you are looking for a new look-look no further(is that a tongue twister?) Heather is your gal! For this card I followed the color challenge from crazy 4 challenges, you were to use Red, white, and black. I used paper from October Afternoon and CTMH, I also used the Something Splendid SS which is the August Stamp Of The Month! A little satin bow and a tulip button, easy peasy!

Color Throwdown and MOJO146 card

I played with the color throwdown challenge today for the 1st time, it can be found here http://www.colorthrowdown.blogspot.com/ and I also used this weeks mojo Monday sketch again for the layout of this card and that sketch can be found at http://www.mojomonday.blogspot.com/. The paper I used is from October Afternoons Cherry Hill line, solid cardstock, velvet ribbon, flowers, brad, and bitty sparkle are all from CTMH.

This is my submission for this weeks SFYTT which can be found here http://www.iheart2stamp.com/. I made this card for my husbands cousin who graduated from high school, his party was yesterday and I only had about 15 minutes to make his card, can you say procastonator? Anyways this was the perfect quick sketch for me to use. The paper is from October Afternoon's Report Card line, the stamp is from H&M stamps-Celebrate the day, and the buttons are from CTMH, the main image was colored with Copics in the school colors!

With Sympathy-MOJO146

A very good friend of mine lost her grandfather this week, and so this is the card I made for her! I used Basic Grey's Cappella paper, and CTMH'S TLC, and One Of A Kind stamp sets! I also followed the sketch from this week's Mojo Monday sketch challenge which I adore! The ribbon is satin from Martha Stewart that I scored at Big Lot's for a $1.00, the butterfly punch is also from MS. I also used pearls and my nesties. The flower was stamped in Grey Flannel and colored with Prisma colored pencils and Gamsol. I also then put my oval nestability on top of my oval after I stamped the flower image and used it as a mask so I could lightly sponge some Grey Flannel in over the whole thing while leaving the edge clean!

Can you see his glistening forehead? Thats sweat it feels like it is about 100 in this house today!
